PAUL BERETZ, CICE
(Certified International Credit Executive)

Paul Beretz brings over thirty years experience in providing solutions for global management and finance within low and high tech industries - chemicals, forest products, semi-conductors and telecommunications among others.

Highlights:
Formulated a "best practice" strategy to improve process issues negatively impacting the accounts receivable for a $1B software provider:

· The result was a ten day reduction in DSO (days sales outstanding) in one quarter; re-organized the department and re-defined and created new departmental job descriptions; authored a "desk procedure" for world-wide operations which provided - for the first time - a consistency in understanding and maximizing the credit and collection process.

Provided expertise to resolving accounts receivable issues resulting from the merger of two global manufacturers with $25B in combined revenue:
· Assisted the "Integration Team" to develop worldwide action plans impacting personnel, facility locations and the accounts
receivable process.

Established accounts receivable goals and process improvements for a thirty-year old distributor of floor covering:
· Evaluated capabilities of finance and operations organization; instigated an "order to collect" task force that improved
customer satisfaction and accounts receivable quality.

As an expert witness, successfully represented a $2B manufacturer of computer platforms, peripherals and storage products by testing and validating credit department policies and procedures.

Lead 98-yr. old theatrical lighting company as a part-time, acting GM:
· Doubled revenue and reversed prior year's losses resulting in a six-figure profit for the same six-month period; instituted upgrades in business controls, sales and marketing procedures and company structure.

Initiated tactical and strategic processes for service/wholesale-oriented, twenty-five year old company in the automotive related industry:
· Guided the new president, son of the founder, and three key operation managers to understand and execute defined areas of responsibility (e.g., evaluating the needs of the market place and competition; establishing personnel performance measures and standards and utilizing budgeting and forecasting tools).
